A Cambodian child with a congenital heart disease who recently met with South Korean first lady Kim Keon-hee is expected to receive surgery in Seoul, according to a presidential official Sunday.

한국의 영부인 김건희를 만난 선천성 심장 질환이 있는 캄보디아의 어린이는 일요일 대통령실에 따르면 서울에서 수술을 받게될 것으로 예상된다.

 

Kim visited the 14-year-old child earlier this month in Phnom Penh while accompanying President Yoon Suk-yeol on his trip to Cambodia.

윤석열 대통령의 캄보디아 여행(순방?)에 대동하여 이달 킴은 Phnom Penh에 있는 14살 어린이를 먼저 만났다.

 

At a hospital there, Kim discussed ways to provide treatment for the child, who received heart surgery in 2018 but was not able to afford follow-up surgery due to the family's poor economic situation.

그 병원에서, 킴은 2018년에 심장 수술을 받았지만 가족의 경제적 어려움 때문에 후속 수술을 받을 여유가 없었던  어린이에게 치료를 제공하는 방법을 논의 했다.

 

A presidential official told Yonhap News Agency the child is expected to be brought to South Korea for surgery.

대통령실은 연합뉴스 기자에게 어린이가 수술을 위해 서울로 옮겨질 것(대려올 것)으로 예상(예정이다)된다고 말했다.

 

The official said Asan Medical Center in Seoul will handle the surgery.

대통령실은 서울의 아산종합병원에서 수술을 할 것이라고 했습니다.

 

"All expenses required for the trip to South Korea and the surgery have already been prepared with donations," the official said.

"서울로 오는 경비와 수술에 필요한 모든 비용은 기부금이 이미 준비돼있다."고 대통령실은 말했다.

 

Kim's meeting with the child was widely reported, with the presidential office having released photos of her comforting the family, including those showing her carrying the gaunt boy in her arms and the boy sitting on her lap. (해석하기 매우 어렵네요..ㅜ)

김이 어린이와 만났다는 것은 태통령실이 가족들을 위로하는 사진과 그녀의 품에 안겨 무릎 위에 앉아 있는 야윈 소년을 옮기는 것을 보여주는 사진도 포함하여 함께  널리 보도 됐다.
